Paul C. Reviere

Sheriff Reviere has served the people of Lincoln County as Deputy Coroner from 1980-1991 and as Coroner from 1991-2017. He was elected Sheriff of Lincoln County in a special election on September 19, 2017 to fill the unexpired term of Sheriff Bruce C. Beggs after his untimely death. Additionally he has served the community as a third grade teacher, a minister, and an associate at a local funeral home. Regionally he has served as both a member and as chair of the Board of Trustees for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) which governs accreditation in eleven southeastern states.

Sheriff Reviere is a life-long resident of Lincoln County and is married to the former Ann Florence. He is a product of Lincoln County Schools, and he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science with an emphasis on state and local government. He has amassed numerous hours of training in death investigation, office administration, and various aspects of enforcement as it pertained to his service as coroner. He has received additional training, much on a voluntary basis, from not only the Georgia Coroner’s Training Council (GCTC), but also from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC), Augusta University Medical Center, and the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services. Much of his training had included many courses and objectives that are dually accredited for both coroners and law enforcement personnel certified by both GCTC and Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST). In 2018 he completed GPSTC’s Basic Law Enforcement Mandate Course which consisted of 408 course hours.
