Brian Henderson
District 1 Commissioner
Brian D. Henderson was elected to the Board of Commissioners for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2019 to represent District One.
Commissioner Henderson was born in Elberton, Georgia on July 24, 1974 to James Darrell Henderson and Tommie Borders Henderson.  He lived in Tignall, GA until 1987 when he and his family moved into the Midway Community in Lincoln County to care for his aging grandmother.  He graduated Salutatorian from Lincoln County High School in 1992, and received a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1996.  In 2002, he married Paula Jeanene Graves of Lincolnton and they have one daughter, Lilian Alyce Henderson, a 7th grader at LCMS.
Commissioner Henderson is a firefighter and treasurer for Midway Volunteer Fire Department, an Emergency Medical Responder for Lincoln County Rescue, Vice President of Henderson Logging, Co., Inc. and President/CEO/Owner of Midway Forest Products Inc. He served on the executive committee of Southeastern Wood Producers Association for eight years and was President from 2012-2014.  He has been a member of the Georgia Sustainable Forestry Initiative Implementation Committee for over 10 years and was co-chair of the Inconsistent Practices Sub-committee. He is also a member of East Central Georgia Workforce Development Board and has been since 2008. Commissioner Henderson is active in local and state Republican parties.
