2006 LARP Designation |
Each year, all Georgia cities and counties submit a priority list of roads or streets in their jurisdiction that need to be resurfaced. The Georgia DOT reviews each road and street submitted and develops a needs assessment and cost estimate. Based on the amount of money available in Local Assistance Resurfacing Program (LARP) each year, a final list of roads is compiled and approved by the DOT Commissioner for funding. LARP is a resurfacing program initiated in 1978 to help local governments preserve the integrity of their paved roads.
The following roads are on the submission list to be resurfaced under the 2006 LARP which is entirely funded by the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT): Amity-Woodlawn Road, Ashmore-Barden Road, Chamberlain Ferry Road, Comanche Circle, Colvin-Kennedy Road, Crook Road, Dixie Lane, Elam Drive, Firetower Road, Indian Road, Jones-Martin Road, Midway Church Road, Murray-Jones Circle, Prater Road and Turner Drive. |
