A lifelong resident of Lincoln County, Allen Walker was elected to the Board of Commissioners in 1996 to represent District 4.

Commissioner Walker graduated from Lincoln County High School. He has attended the County Commissioners Training Program and is a Certified County Commissioner. He was in the US Navy. He is Retired from General Electric Co. where he was employed for 33 years.

Commissioner Walker is married to the former Claire Penland. They have one daughter, Margie Walker Cundy, and two grandchildren, Ross Cundy and Ella Claire Cundy. His hobbies include golfing, fishing, and traveling. He is a member of First Assembly of God Church where he is on the Official Board and teaches the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. He is also a member of the GA-Carolina Council Boy Scouts of America, the Georgia Public Safety Board, and Past-President of the Lions Club..
