Billy Joe Goldman, a life long resident of Lincoln County, was elected to the Board of Commissioners in 2010, representing District 2. He is the son of the late Henry and Alice Goldman.

Commissioner Goldman graduated from Lincolnton High School. He is one of five brothers who played football for the school. He is married to Sandra Power Goldman and they have two children, Angela and Billy, and they have four grandchildren.

Commissioner Goldman retired from the United States Post Office as a Rural Mail Carrier after 33 years.

He enjoys raising cattle and gardening.
