Robert L. Glaze was elected to the Board of Commissioners in 2010 to represent District 1. He is a 1966 graduate of Lincoln County High School. Glaze graduated from the machine shop practice program at Augusta Technical College in 1968. He served the United States in the Army from 1968-1970. Glaze then worked at Pliant Corporation in Washington, Georgia until he retired in 2008. Commissioner Glaze also served on the Lincolnton City Council for 24 years and considers it an honor to serve as District 1 County Commissioner.
Glaze and his wife, Charlie Mae Stokes Glaze, have been married for 40 years. She is retired from being a Director of the Lincoln County Senior Citizens for 23 years. They have 3 children: Kimberly Glaze Hunter, Pamela Glaze Norman, and Kelcey R. Glaze.
